Time is money, and if you are training employees or clients on doing the same things over and over, then your company may benefit greatly from a training or process video.
I talk to many businesses that tell me that they don’t really need videos because they aren’t selling anything, they aren’t marketing products or services, they’re in manufacturing, that they would just be wasting money. This is where training and process videos come into play. Not all videos have to be aimed at a consumer. If you are a company that isn’t selling anything, but making things instead, then you have a manufacturing process. Unless your company has had the same original employees that were hired at its inception then you are training people in your manufacturing process every time you hire a new employee. You probably have a person that you pay hourly or a salary to train these new employees, and I’m guessing that sometimes employees need to be trained on certain processes more than once. If you look at the average wage of your trainer, multiply it by how many hours they spend training people, then you have a pretty good idea of what you spend on training every year. Imagine having a video asset that someone that needed to learn a process could watch over and over, pause and rewind. Every company is different but it wouldn’t take very long to recover the money spent on a video or video series.
